Great news from ELL!

We are passionate about excellence and innovation in the railway industry. Our goal is to achieve the greatest possible efficiency and outstanding customer friendliness. This includes supporting our customers and their innovative business ideas in the best possible ways. Our partner DPB Group had an extraordinary design idea for the locomotives we lease. As a result, this natural beauty can be admired on the tracks of Europe now.

A dedicated team worked with great care to deliver a high-quality foil that meets DPB’s specific requirements and makes both the functionality and aesthetics of their locomotive an outstanding solitaire. What an eye-catcher!

Many thanks to the DPB Company for trusting us. We look forward to many more projects together.

Today, Tanja Kienegger, CEO of Siemens Mobility Austria, handed over the 222nd Vectron locomotive to Christian Kern, CEO of ELL.

“Rail is a technically and commercially complex business model. We make it simple for our customers. The consistent focus on one locomotive platform allows maximum efficiency and reliability.”

Christian Kern, CEO of European Locomotive Leasing

ELL has invested 1 billion euros since 2014, with a further 350 million to follow by 2027 to increase the number of locomotives to 300. ELL operates the largest Vectron fleet in Europe.

The German saying “Alles neu macht der Mai” translates to “All is new when it’s May”. We’ve taken the liberty to move May to April and gently renovated our website. The latest highlight for those interested: Under “Our Vectron Fleet” you’ll now find technical descriptions for all our locomotives.

And for those who would like to join our ELL team: We’ve also listed all open jobs on the website!

Some customers need even more flexibility, which is why we are currently delivering two dual-mode Vectrons to Salzburger EisenbahnTransportLogistik GmbH (SETG), one of our first customers.

Dual mode means that the diesel can also be used on branch lines for timber transportation without an overhead line. As soon as an electrified route is available again, we will continue with the tried-and-tested electric motor.

Today this beauty was handed over to our customer Bahnoperator Polska. The brand new A10 Vectron with its elegant paintwork will enable Bahnoperator to expand rail transport on the East-West corridor.

Train Operations Manager Piotr Ciuruś, International Operations Manager Radosław Kopras and Dispatch Manager Bartłomiej Jasiński received the key to the locomotive from our Managing Director of ELL Polska, Agnieszka Bekasiak. We are grateful for the continued trust that TE Bahnoperator once again places in ELL and our Vectrons!

On January 24, 2024, LTG Cargo Polska took delivery of its first Siemens Vectron MS, laying the foundation for a long-term partnership with ELL.

The handover took place in Poznan, Poland, and the clouds were dark. The handover took place in Poznan, Poland, with dark clouds overhead. As soon as the Vectron arrived, the sky cleared, and the sun bathed the scene in the sunny colors of our locomotive! Michal Szlendak, CEO and Przemyslaw Sajdak, COO of LTG Cargo celebrated together with Agnieszka Bekasiak, MD of ELL Polska and Thomas Riedler, CSO of ELL.

LTG Cargo Polska Sp. z o.o. is a 100% subsidiary of the Lithuanian railroad company AB “LTG Cargo”, which itself is part of the railroad group AB “Lietuvos geležinkeliai” (LTG). The Group is currently actively pursuing the diversification of its business areas in the West. LTG Cargo Polska has been active on the Polish market since 2020. The head office is located in Warsaw, with a further office in Katowice. The company employs a total of 124 people.

Great visions fit together – we are proud to begin 2024 with the first steps of our cooperation with FlixTrain. A partnership in which we jointly expand and sustainably strengthen European passenger transport!

Before handing out their first Vectron to FlixTrain, we have to make it even more beautiful. With many thanks to our colleagues from Loc & More and LOCMASTA for their great work!

We wish all our costumers, co-workers and friends a very merry Christmas and a successful and healthy New Year!

It has become a tradition that our client, LTE logistics & transport, gives us a Christmas tree. On Tuesday, it was time: The CEO of LTE, Mr. Mandl, and the LTE CFO, Mr. Benda, personally delivered it. Adorned beautifully, the tree brings the Christmas spirit to our office spaces.
