🚆 New Vectron, new customer!
NewsWe’re proud to welcome Freightliner PL to the ELL family. On Friday, 16 May, they’ll receive their first Vectron (193.880) from us – ready to support intermodal transport from Poland to the Netherlands. The handover takes place at PKP Cargotabor in Czerwieńsk. The loco will feature our classic ELL design with the Freightliner logo – the first ELL Vectron in Poland this year.

AERRL and ELL call for a smarter approach to digital rail deployment!
NewsLocomotives in 2025 are still struggling to make it across EU borders. Why?
💡Only 15% of EU rail infrastructure is equipped with ETCS — and even that is totally fragmented. Frequent software changes force costly retrofits every few years. Cross-border rail remains inefficient.
At ELL, we support our industry association AERRL in calling for a smarter approach to digital rail deployment.
What’s needed now:
🔹 A stable rollout of ETCS Baseline 3.4 – valid for 10+ years
🔹 Aligned infrastructure and onboard planning
🔹 Compatibility with FRMCS, without repeating past mistakes
🔹 A coordinated EU-wide deployment strategy
We need fewer system changes, more interoperability — and smarter regulation to protect fleet investments.
